In Friday's league contest, the host Greenwood Rangers basketball team scored a big 67-39 triumph over the Monahans Loboes.

The Rangers (10-13) will now prepare for their contest against Pecos (Pecos, TX). The Eagles go into the 4A Region I District 3 contest with a 1-10 record. In their last contest, Pecos was trounced by Fort Stockton (Fort Stockton, TX), 83-29, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Loboes battle the Seminole Indians (Seminole, TX) in a 4A Region I District 3 contest, on Tuesday, January 14. Monahans will attempt to better on its 1-14 season record. The Indians go into the contest with a 13-10 record after their 57-37 league win over Andrews (Andrews, TX).
