The Hammond Tornadoes basketball squad (Hammond, LA), was crushed 63-40 in Friday's league battle with the host Ponchatoula Green Wave (Ponchatoula, LA)

With the victory, Ponchatoula advances its record to 18-6 on the year. The Green Wave travel to Salmen (Slidell, LA) to meet the Spartans in a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 14. The Spartans enter the battle with a record of 9-13.

The Tornadoes now own a 12-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mandeville for a 5A District 6 battle on Tuesday, January 14. Hammond will meet a Skippers squad coming off a 53-50 non-league loss to Loranger (Loranger, LA). The Skippers record now stands at 15-13.
