The Langley Saxons basketball squad (McLean, VA), was nudged 65-60 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Yorktown Patriots (Arlington, VA)
With the victory, Yorktown advances its record to 10-1 on the year. The Patriots host Wakefield (Arlington, VA) to meet the Warriors in a District 2 battle on Tuesday, January 14. The Warriors enter the battle with a record of 7-4. Wakefield won 55-51 in their recent league battle against McLean (McLean, VA)
The Saxons now own a 3-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to George C. Marshall for a District 2 battle on Tuesday, January 14. Langley will meet a Statesmen squad coming off a 49-29 league win over Washington-Liberty (Arlington, VA). The Statesmen record now stands at 8-4.
