Mississippi High School Basketball - Oxford holds off Lewisburg

The Oxford Chargers basketball team scored 58 points and limited the visiting Lewisburg Patriots to 52 in the Chargers league triumph on Friday.
The Chargers now possess a 13-9 record. They play next when they host Horn Lake for a 7A Region 1 game on Tuesday, January 14. Oxford will confront a Eagles team coming off a 70-60 league win over DeSoto Central (Southaven, MS). The Eagles record now stands at 17-4.
With the loss, Lewisburg falls to 9-12 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to Hernando (Hernando, MS) to confront the Tigers in a 7A Region 1 game on Tuesday, January 14. The Tigers go into the game with a record of 2-13.
