The Mingus Marauders basketball squad (Cottonwood, AZ), was nudged 46-42 in Friday's league battle with the host Mohave Thunderbirds (Bullhead City, AZ)

With the victory, Mohave advances its record to 7-7 on the year. The Thunderbirds host Lee Williams (Kingman, AZ) to meet the Volunteers in a 4A Grand Canyon battle on Wednesday, January 15. The Volunteers enter the battle with a record of 4-7. Lee Williams lost 60-53 in their recent league battle against Mingus (Cottonwood, AZ)

The Marauders now own a 7-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bradshaw Mountain for a 4A Grand Canyon battle on Thursday, January 16.
