The Velva Aggies basketball team scored 66 points and limited the visiting Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood Mavericks to 65 in the Aggies league triumph on Friday.

The Aggies now possess a 7-0 record. They play next when they travel to Westhope/Newburg for a B District 6 game on Tuesday, January 14. Velva will confront a Sioux team coming off a 58-44 league loss to Our Redeemer's Christian (Minot, ND). The Sioux record now stands at 5-2.

With the loss, Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood falls to 4-1 on the campaign. The Mavericks host Glenburn (Glenburn, ND) to confront the Panther in a B District 6 game on Tuesday, January 14. The Panther go into the game with a record of 2-8. Glenburn won 56-54 in their recent non-league game against South Prairie/Max (Minot, ND)
