The Moon Area Tigers basketball team scored 61 points and limited the host West Allegheny Indians to 47 in the Tigers league triumph on Friday.

The Tigers now possess a 11-2 record. They play next when they host Montour for a WPIAL 5A 4 game on Tuesday, January 14. Moon Area will play a Spartans team coming off a 83-60 league win over West Allegheny (Imperial, PA). The Spartans record now stands at 9-1.

With the loss, West Allegheny falls to 5-7 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Chartiers Valley (Bridgeville, PA) to play the Colts in a WPIAL 5A 4 game on Thursday, January 16. The Colts go into the game with a record of 12-1. Chartiers Valley won 68-65 in their recent league game against Mars (Mars, PA)
