The Mt. Blue Cougars basketball team scored 56 points and limited the host Mountain Valley Falcons to 30 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Friday.

The Cougars now have a 8-4 record. They play next when they host Skowhegan for a A North game on Tuesday, January 14. Mt. Blue will confront a River Hawks team coming off a 62-61 league loss to Camden Hills (Rockport, ME). The River Hawks record now stands at 1-10.

With the loss, Mountain Valley falls to 2-11 on the campaign. The Falcons host Boothbay (Boothbay Harbor, ME) to confront the Seahawks in a non-league game on Tuesday, January 14. The Seahawks go into the game with a record of 3-7. Boothbay won 59-25 in their recent league game against North Yarmouth Academy (Yarmouth, ME)
