The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Mt. Salus Christian Eagles (Clinton, MS) and the host Tensas Academy Chiefs (St. Joseph, LA), observed Mt. Salus Christian's basketball team overwhelm Tensas Academy by a score of 66-38.

The Eagles (5-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Christ Covenant (Ridgeland, MS). The go into the non-league bout with a 2-3 record. In their last bout, Christ Covenant was ripped by Lamar Christian (Purvis, MS), 50-27, in a league bout.

With the loss, Tensas Academy falls to 5-8 on the campaign. The Chiefs host Adams County Christian (Natchez, MS) to play the Rebels in a non-league bout on Monday, January 13. The Rebels go into the bout with a record of 9-3. Adams County Christian won 63-56 in their recent non-league bout against Central Hinds Academy (Raymond, MS)
