The Newman Catholic Knights basketball team scored 82 points and limited the visiting St. Ansgar Saints to 50 in the Knights non-league triumph on Friday.

The Knights now possess a 7-2 record. They play next when they host Osage for a North Iowa game on Tuesday, January 14. Newman Catholic will confront a Green Devils team coming off a 56-49 league loss to Belmond-Klemme (Belmond, IA). The Green Devils record now stands at 7-3.

With the loss, St. Ansgar falls to 6-6 on the campaign. The Saints travel to Central Springs (Manly, IA) to confront the Panthers in a non-league game on Tuesday, January 14. The Panthers go into the game with a record of 0-9. Central Springs lost 78-35 in their recent non-league game against Nashua-Plainfield (Nashua, IA)
