The Slaughter Community Charter Knights were victorious over the visiting Northside Christian Warriors basketball squad by a final score of 45-35 in Friday's non-league outing.
Next, the Knights face the Baker Buffaloes (Baker, LA) in a 2A District 8 outing, on Tuesday, January 14. Slaughter Community Charter will attempt to upgrade on its 8-10 season record. The Buffaloes enter the outing with a 4-14 record after their 67-44 non-league loss to Southern Lab (Baton Rouge, LA).
The Warriors (6-12) will now prepare for their outing against Highland Baptist Christian (New Iberia, LA). The Bears enter the non-league outing with a 5-14 record. In their last outing, Highland Baptist Christian ran past V.B. Glencoe Charter (Franklin, LA), 60-28, in a non-league outing.
