The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Red River Roughriders (Grand Forks, ND) and the visiting Sheyenne Mustangs (West Fargo, ND), observed Red River's basketball team knock off Sheyenne by a score of 60-50.

The Roughriders (7-3) will now prepare for their challenge against West Fargo (West Fargo, ND). The Packers come into the AA East challenge with a 4-4 record. In their last challenge, West Fargo prevailed over Grand Forks Central (Grand Forks, ND), 80-58, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Mustangs battle the Shanley Deacons (Fargo, ND) in a AA East challenge, on Tuesday, January 14. Sheyenne will attempt to improve on its 1-9 season record. The Deacons come into the challenge with a 0-11 record after their 97-57 league loss to Horace (Horace, ND).
