Pennsylvania High School Basketball - South Allegheny holds off South Park

In Friday's league contest, the visiting South Allegheny Gladiators basketball team scored a close 38-31 triumph over the South Park Eagles.
The Gladiators (12-1) will now prepare for their contest against Baldwin (Pittsburgh, PA). The Highlanders go into the non-league contest with a 12-1 record. In their last contest, Baldwin nipped Thomas Jefferson (Jefferson Hills, PA), 67-50, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Eagles confront the Apollo Ridge Vikings (Spring Church, PA) in a WPIAL 3A 3 contest, on Tuesday, January 14. South Park will attempt to better on its 7-3 season record. The Vikings go into the contest with a 3-9 record after their 69-29 league loss to Shady Side Academy (Pittsburgh, PA).
