The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Southeastern Mustangs (Remlap, AL) and the host West End Patriots (Walnut Grove, AL), observed Southeastern's basketball team overwhelm West End by a score of 74-34.

The Mustangs (7-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Cleveland (Cleveland, AL). The Panthers come into the 2A Area 12 challenge with a 6-10 record. In their last challenge, Cleveland was routed by Susan Moore (Blountsville, AL), 57-46, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Patriots encounter the Hokes Bluff Eagles (Hokes Bluff, AL) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 14. West End will attempt to improve on its 3-13 season record.
