The Spur Bulldogs basketball squad (Spur, TX), was crushed 70-17 in Friday's league battle with the host Valley Patriots (Turkey, TX)

With the victory, Valley advances its record to 21-2 on the year. The Patriots travel to Motley County (Matador, TX) to meet the Matadors in a 1A Region I District 8 battle on Tuesday, January 14. The Matadors enter the battle with a record of 3-4. Motley County lost 62-59 in their recent league battle against Patton Springs (Afton, TX)

The Bulldogs now own a 0-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Guthrie for a 1A Region I District 8 battle on Tuesday, January 14. Spur will meet a Jaguars squad coming off a 65-61 league loss to Paducah (Paducah, TX). The Jaguars record now stands at 13-11.
