The Bears (7-11) will now prepare for their challenge against Golden Valley (Bakersfield, CA). The Bulldogs come into the South Yosemite - Horizon challenge with a 10-6 record. In their last challenge, Golden Valley trounced Mira Monte (Bakersfield, CA), 42-19, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Suns encounter the Wonderful College Prep Academy Lions (Lost Hills, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 13. Del Oro will attempt to improve on its 3-9 season record. The Lions come into the challenge with a 1-7 record after their 30-17 league loss to Laton (Laton, CA).
