In Friday's league test, the Borden County Coyotes (Gail, TX) basketball squad trounced the host Klondike Cougars (Lamesa, TX), by a score of 72-36.

Next, the Coyotes encounter the Grady Wildcats (Lenorah, TX) in a 1A Region I District 6 test, on Tuesday, January 14. Borden County will attempt to improve on its 15-6 season record. The Wildcats come into the test with a 8-12 record after their 34-22 league loss to Sands (Ackerly, TX).

The Cougars (11-13) will now prepare for their test against Dawson (Welch, TX). The Dragons come into the 1A Region I District 6 test with a 5-10 record.
