The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Tascosa Rebels (Amarillo, TX) and the host Caprock Longhorns (Amarillo, TX), observed Tascosa's basketball team overwhelm Caprock by a score of 87-13.

The Rebels (25-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Lubbock (Lubbock, TX). The Westerners come into the 5A Region I District 3 challenge with a 12-13 record. In their last challenge, Lubbock trounced Caprock (Amarillo, TX), 53-19, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Longhorns encounter the Monterey Plainsmen (Lubbock, TX) in a 5A Region I District 3 challenge, on Tuesday, January 14. Caprock will attempt to improve on its 4-18 season record. The Plainsmen come into the challenge with a 26-4 record after their 100-58 league win over Plainview (Plainview, TX).
