In Friday's league contest, the host Eau Claire North Huskies basketball team scored a big 63-32 triumph over the Chippewa Falls Cardinals.

The Huskies (7-6) will now prepare for their contest against Eau Claire Memorial (Eau Claire, WI). The Old Abes go into the Big Rivers contest with a 11-1 record. In their last contest, Eau Claire Memorial smashed Rice Lake (Rice Lake, WI), 67-51, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Cardinals battle the Menomonie Mustangs (Menomonie, WI) in a Big Rivers contest, on Tuesday, January 14. Chippewa Falls will attempt to better on its 1-10 season record. The Mustangs go into the contest with a 8-5 record after their 55-45 non-league win over Onalaska (Onalaska, WI).
