Cornwall Central Dragons (New Windsor, NY) supporters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad knock off the host Minisink Valley Warriors (Slate Hill, NY), 44-26 in a league challenge.

The Dragons (5-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Monroe-Woodbury (Central Valley, NY). The Crusaders come into the non-league challenge with a 4-4 record. In their last challenge, Monroe-Woodbury was knocked off by Middletown (Middletown, NY), 52-37, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Warriors encounter the Newburgh Free Academy Goldbacks (Newburgh, NY) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 13. Minisink Valley will attempt to improve on its 1-4 season record. The Goldbacks come into the challenge with a 4-8 record after their 62-54 league win over Kingston (Kingston, NY).
