The Metamora Redbirds basketball team scored 61 points and limited the visiting East Peoria Raiders to 48 in the Redbirds league triumph on Friday.

The Redbirds now possess a 12-9 record. They play next when they travel to Dunlap for a Mid-Illini game on Tuesday, January 14. Metamora will confront a Eagles team coming off a 50-46 league loss to Morton (Morton, IL). The Eagles record now stands at 13-8.

With the loss, East Peoria falls to 10-10 on the campaign. The Raiders travel to Cornerstone Christian (Bloomington, IL) to confront the Cyclones in a non-league game on Monday, January 13. The Cyclones go into the game with a record of 5-7. Cornerstone Christian lost 60-27 in their recent non-league game against Lexington (Lexington, IL)
