The Eagles (14-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Center Point (Center Point, TX). The Pirates come into the 2A Region IV District 29 challenge with a 2-11 record. In their last challenge, Center Point was knocked off by Mason (Mason, TX), 82-7, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Eagles encounter the Long Creek Dragons (New Braunfels, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 14. Johnson City will attempt to improve on its 21-5 season record. The Dragons come into the challenge with a 5-8 record after their 42-31 non-league win over Randolph (Universal City, TX).
