The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Mosinee Indians (Mosinee, WI) and the host Tomahawk Hatchets (Tomahawk, WI), observed Mosinee's basketball team overwhelm Tomahawk by a margin of 77-46.

The Indians (9-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Rhinelander (Rhinelander, WI). The Hodags come into the Great Northern challenge with a 9-4 record. In their last challenge, Rhinelander was trounced by Lakeland (Minocqua, WI), 63-28, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Hatchets battle the Medford Raiders (Medford, WI) in a Great Northern challenge, on Tuesday, January 14. Tomahawk will attempt to better on its 5-6 season record. The Raiders come into the challenge with a 5-8 record after their 63-43 non-league win over New London (New London, WI).
