Texas High School Basketball - Yorktown routs Pettus

In Friday's league contest, the host Yorktown Wildcats basketball team scored a big 59-35 triumph over the Pettus Eagles.

The Wildcats (16-9) will now prepare for their contest against Woodsboro (Woodsboro, TX). The Eagles go into the 2A Region IV District 31 contest with a 6-20 record. In their last contest, Woodsboro was trounced by Kenedy (Kenedy, TX), 62-24, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Eagles battle the Port Aransas Marlins (Port Aransas, TX) in a 2A Region IV District 31 contest, on Tuesday, January 14. Pettus will attempt to better on its 8-15 season record. The Marlins go into the contest with a 18-8 record after their 45-36 league loss to Skidmore-Tynan (Skidmore, TX).
