California High School Basketball - Nevada Union nudges Placer

The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Nevada Union Miners (Grass Valley, CA) and the visiting Placer Hillmen (Auburn, CA), observed Nevada Union's basketball team edge Placer by a score of 38-34.
The Miners (6-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Twelve Bridges (Lincoln, CA). The Raging Rhinos come into the challenge with a 3-4 record. In their last challenge, Twelve Bridges was tipped by Yuba City (Yuba City, CA), 33-26, in a league battle.
The Hillmen now own a 2-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Yuba City for a battle on Friday, January 17. Placer will meet a Honkers squad coming off a 31-27 league win over River Valley (Yuba City, CA). The Honkers record now stands at 5-1.
