The West Ashley Wildcats (Charleston, SC) basketball edged the visiting James Island Trojans (Charleston, SC), 29-27 in Friday's non-league bout.
The Wildcats now possess a 2-1 record. They play next when they travel to Fort Dorchester for a bout on Tuesday, January 14. West Ashley will play a Patriots team coming off a 32-31 league win over Ashley Ridge (Summerville, SC). The Patriots record now stands at 5-3.
With the loss, James Island falls to 11-4 on the campaign. The Trojans host Summerville (Summerville, SC) to play the Green Wave in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 14. The Green Wave go into the bout with a record of 2-0.
