The Mitchell Mustangs basketball team scored 40 points and limited the host River Ridge Royal Knights to 13 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Friday.

The Mustangs now have a 13-1 record. They play next when they host Nature Coast Tech for a non-league game on Wednesday, January 15.

With the loss, River Ridge falls to 2-5 on the campaign. The Royal knights host Fivay (Hudson, FL) to confront the Falcons in a game on Tuesday, January 14. The Falcons go into the game with a record of 3-3. Fivay won 37-29 in their recent non-league game against Springstead (Spring Hill, FL)
