In Friday's non-league outing, the visiting Pioneer Valley Panthers soccer squad scored a tight 2-1 victory over the Orcutt Academy Spartans.

The Panthers (5-5) will now prepare for their outing against Lompoc (Lompoc, CA). The Braves go into the Sunset outing with a 3-10 record. In their last outing, Lompoc was edged by Santa Maria (Santa Maria, CA), 2-0, in a league outing.

Next up, the Spartans confront the Morro Bay Pirates (Morro Bay, CA) in a Ocean battle, on Tuesday, January 14. Orcutt Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 8-4 season record. The Pirates enter the battle with a 1-7 record after their 9-3 league loss to Mission College Prep (San Luis Obispo, CA).
