Fans at Friday's non-league battle between the Shasta Wolves (Redding, CA) and the host Yreka Miners (Yreka, CA), saw Shasta's soccer squad triumph over Yreka by a count of 7-1.

The Wolves (5-3) will now prepare for their battle against Pleasant Valley (Chico, CA). The Vikings enter the Eastern Athletic battle with a 4-5 record. In their last battle, Pleasant Valley was overwhelmed by Colfax (Colfax, CA), 3-0, in a non-league battle.

Next up, the Miners battle the Lassen Grizzlies (Susanville, CA) in a Northern Athletic battle, on Tuesday, January 14. Yreka will attempt to upgrade on its 1-8 season record. The Grizzlies enter the battle with a 0-5 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Red Bluff (Red Bluff, CA).
