The Blake Bears ice hockey team scored 8 points and held the visiting Providence Academy Lions to 2 in the Bears league victory on Friday.

The Bears now own a 7-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Breck for a Tri-Metro bout on Tuesday, January 14. Blake will play a Mustangs team coming off a 10-1 non-league loss to Academy of Holy Angels (Richfield, MN). The Mustangs record now stands at 2-8.

With the defeat, Providence Academy moves to 3-4 on the season. The Lions host St. Paul Academy-Summit (St. Paul, MN) to play the Spartans in a Tri-Metro bout on Tuesday, January 14. The Spartans go into the bout with a record of 3-7. St. Paul Academy-Summit lost 6-0 in their recent non-league bout against Winona (Winona, MN)
