In Friday's non-league contest, the host Eastern Quakers basketball team scored a good 50-41 triumph over the St. Johns Redwings.
The Quakers (4-1) will now prepare for their contest against Sexton (Lansing, MI). The Big Reds go into the non-league contest with a 2-0 record.
In their next game, the Redwings confront the Grand Ledge Comets (Grand Ledge, MI) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, January 14. St. Johns will attempt to better on its 0-2 season record. The Comets go into the contest with a 1-4 record after their 66-55 non-league loss to Waverly (Lansing, MI).
