In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting Lafayette Rams basketball team scored a good 47-27 win over the Poquoson Islanders.
The Rams (5-3) will now prepare for their contest against Tabb (Yorktown, VA). The Tigers come into the non-league contest with a 4-3 record. In their last contest, Tabb was topped by York (Yorktown, VA), 31-28, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Islanders battle the Grafton Clippers (Yorktown, VA) in a non-league contest, on Monday, January 13. Poquoson will attempt to better on its 0-2 season record. The Clippers come into the contest with a 4-2 record after their 48-46 non-league win over Lafayette (Williamsburg, VA).
