San Luis Sidewinders (San Luis, AZ) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the host Gila Ridge Hawks (Yuma, AZ), 8-1 in a league test.

With the triumph, San Luis moves its record to 4-1 on the campaign. The Sidewinders host Cibola (Yuma, AZ) to clash with the Raiders in a 6A Desert Southwest test on Tuesday, January 14. The Raiders come into the test with a record of 4-4. Cibola lost 5-0 in their recent non-league test against Liberty (Peoria, AZ)

The Hawks now sport a 1-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Kofa for a non-league test on Wednesday, January 15.
