The Thomas Walker Pioneers basketball team scored 74 points and limited the host Hurley Rebels to 31 in the Pioneers non-league win on Saturday.

Next, the Pioneers clash with the Twin Springs Titans (Nickelsville, VA) in a Cumberland outing, on Tuesday, January 13. Thomas Walker will attempt to upgrade on its 7-4 season record. The Titans come into the outing with a 7-5 record after their 59-48 league loss to Eastside (Coeburn, VA).

The Rebels (0-10) will now prepare for their outing against Council (Council, VA). The Cobras go into the Black Diamond game with a 0-9 record. In their last game, Council was ripped by Grundy (Grundy, VA), 72-28, in a league game.
