The West Hall Spartans (Oakwood, GA) basketball nipped the visiting Dawson County Tigers (Dawsonville, GA), 74-70 in Tuesday's league test.
The Spartans (5-12) will now prepare for their test against Gilmer (Ellijay, GA). The Bobcats go into the AAA Region 7 test with a 12-5 record. In their last test, Gilmer was tipped by Cherokee Bluff (Flowery Branch, GA), 71-48, in a league test.
The Tigers now own a 3-15 record. They play next when they host White County for a AAA Region 7 test on Friday, January 14. Dawson County will encounter a Warriors squad coming off a 66-58 league win over Lumpkin County (Dahlonega, GA). The Warriors record now stands at 10-7.
