West Essex Knights (North Caldwell, NJ) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Newark Academy Minutemen (Livingston, NJ), 63-31 in a league bout.

With the win, West Essex upgrades its record to 2-3 on the season. The Knights travel to Newark Collegiate Academy (Newark, NJ) to play the Panthers in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 13. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 0-1. Newark Collegiate Academy lost 75-53 in their recent non-league bout against Glen Ridge (Glen Ridge, NJ)

Next up, the Minutemen play the Princeton Day Panthers (Princeton, NJ) in a Mid-Atlantic Prep B bout, on Thursday, January 27. Newark Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 0-6 season record.
