North Butler Bearcats (Greene, IA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Northwood-Kensett Vikings (Northwood, IA), 67-34 in a league bout.
With the victory, North Butler upgrades its record to 8-3 on the campaign. The Bearcats host St. Ansgar (St. Ansgar, IA) to play the Saints in a Corn Bowl bout on Monday, January 17. The Saints come into the bout with a record of 1-10. St. Ansgar lost 63-53 in their recent non-league bout against North Iowa (Buffalo Center, IA)
Next up, the Vikings play the Nashua-Plainfield Huskies (Nashua, IA) in a Corn Bowl bout, on Friday, January 14. Northwood-Kensett will attempt to upgrade on its 3-7 season record. The Huskies come into the bout with a 6-5 record after their 45-32 league loss to Rockford (Rockford, IA).
