The Azle Hornets basketball team (Azle, TX), was toppled 64-44 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Rider Raiders (Wichita Falls, TX)
The Raiders now possess a 12-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wichita Falls for a 5A Region I District 5 battle on Friday, January 14. Rider will confront a Coyotes team coming off a 75-11 league loss to Brewer (Fort Worth, TX). The Coyotes record now stands at 2-11.
The Hornets (18-7) will now prepare for their battle against Aledo (Aledo, TX). The Bearcats come into the 5A Region I District 5 battle with a 6-12 record. In their last battle, Aledo was toppled by Granbury (Granbury, TX), 63-59, in a league battle.
