Illinois High School Basketball - Pawnee can't hold off Athens

The Athens Warriors basketball team scored 36 points and held the host Pawnee Indians to 34 in the Warriors non-league triumph on Wednesday.
The Warriors now sport a 11-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Riverton for a non-league contest on Thursday, January 12. Athens will battle a Hawks team coming off a 46-37 non-league loss to New Berlin (New Berlin, IL). The Hawks record now stands at 2-10.
The Indians (1-13) will now prepare for their contest against South County (Franklin, IL). The Vipers enter the MSM contest with a 10-10 record.
