Benzie Central Huskies (Benzonia, MI) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Onekama Portagers (Onekama, MI), 56-43 in a league bout.

With the victory, Benzie Central upgrades its record to 4-2 on the campaign. The Huskies travel to Frankfort (Frankfort, MI) to play the Panthers in a Northwest bout on Friday, January 13. The Panthers come into the bout with a record of 6-2. Frankfort won 46-29 in their recent league bout against Leland (Leland, MI)

Next up, the Portagers play the Buckley Bears (Buckley, MI) in a Northwest bout, on Friday, January 13. Onekama will attempt to upgrade on its 5-2 season record. The Bears come into the bout with a 3-6 record after their 89-43 league loss to Glen Lake (Maple City, MI).
