In Wednesday's league match, the host Shamokin Area Indians basketball team scored a good 69-51 triumph over the Central Mountain Wildcats.

In their next game, the Indians face the Selinsgrove Seals (Selinsgrove, PA) in a Heartland I match, on Saturday, January 14. Shamokin Area will attempt to move on its 10-2 season record. The Seals enter the match with a 8-5 record after their 52-35 league win over Shikellamy (Sunbury, PA).

With the defeat, Central Mountain moves to 10-1 on the year. The Wildcats host Jersey Shore (Jersey Shore, PA) to face the Bulldogs in a Heartland I match on Saturday, January 14.
