Northport Mustangs (Northport, WA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Columbia Lions (Hunters, WA), 60-42 in a league bout.

With the win, Northport upgrades its record to 7-4 on the season. The Mustangs host Curlew (Curlew, WA) to clash with the Cougars in a 1B Northeast bout on Friday, January 13. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 7-4. Curlew won 53-51 in their recent league bout against Republic (Republic, WA)

Next up, the Lions clash with the Selkirk Rangers (Ione, WA) in a 1B Northeast bout, on Friday, January 13. Columbia will attempt to upgrade on its 4-8 season record. The Rangers go into the bout with a 3-10 record after their 59-28 league loss to Cusick (Cusick, WA).
