In Wednesday's league match, the visiting Mayflower Eagles basketball team scored a tight 54-49 triumph over the Dover Pirates.
In their next game, the Eagles meet the Perryville Mustangs (Perryville, AR) in a 3A Region 5 match, on Friday, January 13. Mayflower will attempt to better on its 3-6 season record. The Mustangs enter the match with a 4-10 record after their 74-31 league loss to Central Arkansas Christian (North Little Rock, AR).
