The Fort Fairfield Tigers (Fort Fairfield, ME) basketball knocked off the host Van Buren Crusaders (Van Buren, ME), 56-42 in Wednesday's non-league test.
The Tigers (6-1) will now prepare for their test against Fort Kent (Fort Kent, ME). The Warriors go into the C North test with a 8-1 record. In their last test, Fort Kent notched a victory over Hodgdon (Hodgdon, ME), 59-35, in a league test.
The Crusaders now own a 2-7 record. They play next when they travel to Southern Aroostook for a D North test on Friday, January 13. Van Buren will encounter a Warriors squad coming off a 89-27 league win over Ashland (Ashland, ME). The Warriors record now stands at 9-0.
