Nemo Vista Red Hawks (Center Ridge, AR) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Guy-Perkins Thunderbirds (Guy, AR), 55-48 in a league bout.

With the win, Nemo Vista upgrades its record to 12-7 on the season. The Red Hawks travel to Arkansas School for the Deaf (Little Rock, AR) to play the Leopards in a Great Plains Deaf bout on Friday, January 13. The Leopards go into the bout with a record of 0-14. Arkansas School for the Deaf lost 54-40 in their recent non-league bout against Illinois School for the Deaf (Jacksonville, IL)

Next up, the Thunderbirds play the Wonderview Daredevils (Hattieville, AR) in a 1A Region 4 bout, on Saturday, January 14. Guy-Perkins will attempt to upgrade on its 13-4 season record. The Daredevils go into the bout with a 16-4 record after their 77-46 league win over Scranton (Scranton, AR).
