Liberty Lions (Brentwood, CA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Pittsburg Pirates (Pittsburg, CA), 77-52 in a league bout.

With the win, Liberty upgrades its record to 9-4 on the season. The Lions host Freedom (Oakley, CA) to clash with the Falcons in a Bay Valley bout on Friday, January 13. The Falcons go into the bout with a record of 8-7.

Next up, the Pirates clash with the Deer Valley Wolverines (Antioch, CA) in a Bay Valley bout, on Friday, January 13. Pittsburg will attempt to upgrade on its 11-6 season record. The Wolverines go into the bout with a 5-12 record after their 81-68 league loss to Antioch (Antioch, CA).
