The Loudoun Valley Vikings (Purcellville, VA) basketball nipped the host Lightridge Bolts (Aldie, VA), 47-46 in Wednesday's league test.
The Vikings (7-5) will now prepare for their test against Millbrook (Winchester, VA). The Pioneers go into the non-league test with a 7-8 record. In their last test, Millbrook got by Fauquier (Warrenton, VA), 64-52, in a league test.
The Bolts now own a 4-9 record. They play next when they travel to Rock Ridge for a Dulles test on Friday, January 13. Lightridge will encounter a Phoenix squad coming off a 51-47 league loss to Loudoun County (Leesburg, VA). The Phoenix record now stands at 7-6.
