Illinois High School Basketball - Metea Valley thwarts Oswego

The Metea Valley Mustangs (Aurora, IL) basketball knocked off the host Oswego Panthers (Oswego, IL), 51-43 in Wednesday's non-league test.
The Mustangs (11-5) will now prepare for their test against Naperville Central (Naperville, IL). The Redhawks go into the DuPage Valley test with a 5-12 record. In their last test, Naperville Central went down by Lockport (Lockport, IL), 40-27, in a non-league test.
The Panthers now own a 6-13 record. They play next when they travel to Plainfield South for a SouthWest Prairie test on Friday, January 13. Oswego will encounter a Cougars squad coming off a 54-51 league win over Minooka (Minooka, IL). The Cougars record now stands at 9-8.
