The Mickey Leland College Preparatory Academy for Young Men Knights (Houston, TX) basketball felled the host Wheatley Wildcats (Houston, TX), 73-64 in Wednesday's league test.

The Knights (8-9) will now prepare for their test against Worthing (Houston, TX). The Colts go into the 4A Region III District 21 test with a 7-7 record. In their last test, Worthing was beaten by Washington (Houston, TX), 117-46, in a league test.

The Wildcats now own a 10-6 record. They play next when they travel to Yates for a 4A Region III District 21 test on Friday, January 13. Wheatley will encounter a Lions squad coming off a 75-52 league win over Kashmere (Houston, TX). The Lions record now stands at 9-3.
