The Salem Quakers basketball team scored 67 points and held the visiting Minerva Lions to 18 in the Quakers league triumph on Wednesday.
The Quakers now sport a 5-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Alliance for a Eastern Buckeye contest on Friday, January 13. Salem will meet a Aviators team coming off a 63-54 league win over Marlington (Alliance, OH). The Aviators record now stands at 8-2.
The Lions (4-9) will now prepare for their contest against West Branch (Beloit, OH). The Warriors enter the Eastern Buckeye contest with a 5-5 record. In their last contest, West Branch triumphed over Salem (Salem, OH), 60-47, in a league contest.
